9/29/2011 Yay! All of these works of art are sold! See you at next month’s “Nibbles.”
Below I’ve highighted some artwork from this month’s “Nibblefest” art auction, and an explanation as to how this monthly themed art auction works. There is a different “Theme” every month and it always runs the 20th through the 27th. Clicking on any artwork will take you to the auction for that artwork on Ebay. All entries start at just 99 cents!
How It Works:
“NFAC” stands for “Nibblefest Art Contest,” a monthly themed art auction and artist’s contest on Ebay. This month’s theme is “Ode To Blue.” These themes can be loosely interpreted by the artist, gives us a fun theme each month to create art for, and to create interest and sales for “Self Representing Artists.”
It is also a contest. So for each bid you get from a different buyer, that counts as one vote. So If I bid on something twice, that is still one vote. The winner at the end of the auction gets a virtual award they can display on their artwork. It’s nice to win an award but it’s nice when it generates sales too…(-:
Any artist can participate first by joining the group, and the by following the instructions and rules posted there. Then you put the letters NFAC in the title and in your description, you need to put a link or explanation, as to how people can find the other artworks in the NFAC contest. It’s a group effort that benefits not just one, but all the artists.
NFAC art comes in all shapes and sizes. From 2.5″ x 3.5″ collectible ACEO art cards, to paintings, and just about any other medium. Everything runs from the evening of the 20th through the evening of the 27th each month. Yes, you are taking a chance at your art going for 99 cents but remember, this is also a marketing tool. You can peak interest from art patrons to look at your other artwork for sale, and check out you Ebay store if you have one.
It’s a win, win situation for Self Representing Artists and Art Patrons as well. It’s a chance to get quality artwork for a reasonable price.
EBSQ Online Artist’s Community…You may see some artwork with EBSQ in the title. EBSQ is a vibrant online art community of Self Representing Artists, that I belong to. You need to have a paid membership to use EBSQ in your auction titles on Ebay, Etsy, etc. You can check it out HERE.
Next month I will be talking more about my online art community EBSQ, the EBSQ Exhibits (shows), and voting for those as well.
I welcome you to subscribe to my blog to keep up with me, my interests, and my art.
Thanks,
Sherry Key a.k.a. S. Key
