“Ripping Off” other artist’s work and loving it!

My little “Toad Baby Snaps” was a “rip” of one of Amanda Makepeace’s works of art. Her “toad” painting is a little watercolor called “A Little Help Please,” where it looks like her little toad is just barely hanging onto a branch by a thread. My version is the same “pose,” with a different  humorous interpretation. Here is “Toad Baby Snaps.” Bright and colorful little toad snapping his fingers and sucking on his pacifier. Done in Colored pencils and ink on bristol. (ACEO-2.5″ x 3.5″ done by Texas Artist/Artisan Sherry Key)

(Stay tuned as I have one other “rip” to post before the end of the month.)

    1. Thanks Carmen…it has been a challenge, but a fun one, to come up with a different take on another person’s work, but not duplicating it. Good idea about the new technique…(-: I like it!
