When pigs fly,
my oh my,
what a sight that will be in the sky.

An impossibility? An adynaton, a hyperbole?
Well if it is a possibility,
I’m hoping that I will be the first to see.

Per Wikipedia:
“The phrase “When pigs fly” is an adynaton- – a figure of speech so hyperbolic that it describes an impossibility. The implication of such a phrase is that the circumstances in question (the adynaton, and the circumstances to which the adynaton is being applied) will never occur.”

(Made this original little artwork to take to auction at my family reunion to raise money for the next year. We’ve been having this reunion for over 41 years now, wow!)
